Keylight for After Effects CS3

Keylight for After Effects CS3 is a professional chroma keying plug-in used to remove green- or blue-screen backgrounds and composite subjects cleanly. Integrated directly into After Effects CS3’s Effects > Keying menu, it produces high-quality mattes with minimal setup while preserving fine detail such as hair, motion blur, and semi-transparent areas.

Key capabilities:

• One-click screen color sampling with robust matte refinement controls (including clip, gain/balance, and screen matte views).
• Advanced spill suppression and edge color correction to neutralize green/blue contamination without flattening skin tones or desaturating the subject.
• Inside/outside mask support plus edge grow/shrink and softness tools for precise boundary control.
• Suited to high–bit-depth color workflows and common compositing pipelines in film, TV, and motion graphics.

Typical workflow: sample the background color, tune the screen matte, refine edges, apply despill, and perform final color matching before compositing over the new background. Note: Keylight is a plug-in and requires Adobe After Effects CS3; it is not a standalone application.
